Some things of iPhone 7 that everyone should know
Apple recently launched its iPhone 7 which is to one of the amazing gadgets. As everyone expected iPhone 7 to be different from the rest smartphone. iPhone 7 have many fabulous features stored within it. But there are something which everyone should know before purchasing it. As per reports of teardown.com and iFixit.com components of this smartphone are being provided by some other companies.
As per research companies Chipworks and teardown.com owned by Techlnsights Apple’s latest iPhone uses intel inside. As stated by above intel provide LTE modem in iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. Basically, intel has four components a power management chip, a baseband LET modem, and two transceivers.
Intel modem does not support CDMA. However as revealed by chipworks iPhone 7 supports CDMA which uses this technology.
As report posted by Forbes stated that Qualcomm equipped iPhone are expected to be sold in the US ( Verizon and sprint), China, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico and The United States Virgin Islands. While Intel-equipped iPhone is expected to be sold in the US ( AT&T and T-Mobile) and other parts of the world.
A10 Fusion Chip:
A10 Fusion Chip in iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus, much faster and lighter on battery resources, is found to be single sourced from TSMC(Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited) according to Chipworks. According to Chipworks iPhone 7 teardown “ Apples Part number for A10 is APL1W24, 339s00255 vs Apple A9, which was APL1022, 339S00129”
Three microphones are used in iPhone 7. One of them is placed on the bottom and the rest two at the top. As per iFixit the microphones used in the phone are sourced from Goertek and Knowles.
Flash Memory is a memory storage device for electronics. According to Chipworks teardown reveals the mark of SK Hink and Toshiba in Flash memory used in iPhone 7.
Apple’s iPhone 7 has a 12MP iSight camera with wider f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. This new isight camera chip was found to be sourced from Sony and Fabricated using Exmor RS technology platform.
Touch Screen Controller:
According to an update by Chipworks Touch Screen Controllers were manufactured by universal scientific Industries(USI), for iPhone 7, with marking O1 1R.
It is the same that is used in iPhone 6s/6s plus. It is pressure-sensitive 3D touch which buzzes when screen/Static home button is touched or pressed.
As per Chipworks WiFi and Bluetooth chip have been won by Murata with a module part number 339S00199. These modules are multi- component packages.
On the launch of iPhone 7 Apple announced that A10 has its own sensor hub. However as per Chipworks Broadcom win the slot in iPhone 7, which probably contains sensors hub functionality like BCM4773 and BCM 4774, which is seen in Samsung Devices.
As per iFixit’s teardown, the battery used in iPhone 7 is rated at 3.82V and 2900mAh, for a total of 11.1 Wh. This a slight upgrade over 10.45 Wh that is used in 6s Plus.
